Finish Line tyre sealant launched

Occasionally a product is released that makes you stop and think ‘Wow. Really?’ On the surface, Finish Line’s new tyre sealant is one of those products… and we can’t wait to try it.

What is its big party trick? The liquid sealant – which uses Kevlar fibres to plug holes – is designed to last the life of the tyre without drying out or needing to be topped up, it can be cleaned up using water and it won’t hurt carbon rims. No more scraping latex off the workshop floor? Sign us up!

The initial – and only, really – application requires the use of more sealant than other brands, according to Finish Line, and it’s a little dearer as well… but given the fact it’s a one-off job, it’s better value. A 236ml (8 ounce) bottle should cover two average mountain bike tyres, while the one-litre bottle is perfect for a fleet and cheaper per application.
