Historically, Italian brand Santini has been better known as a road brand. The MTB gear they did produce - while made to a very high standard - was aimed more at the XC race market. This all changes with their new Forge clothing range.

The Forge jersey and shorts feature a loose casual fit with modern MTB styling — they look pretty sharp. Of course there’s more to the new Santini gear than looks alone. The shorts feature a lightweight two-way stretch material that offers good freedom of movement whilst allowing a slightly tighter cut to lessens the chance of getting caught up on the saddle. They also have two zippered pockets that allow you to keep a few essentials close at hand.

The Forge jersey is made from a breathable and moisture wicking ‘Giro’ fabric and comes in two colour options; red or green. Both the jersey and shorts are offered in a huge range of sizes; from XS all the way through to 4XL.

The gel chamois equipped Agile 2 inner short completes the new clothing ensemble and Santini also does a $29 Buff neck scarf to keep the sun off in summer. The Forge jersey sells for $100 while the shorts go for $109 and the inner short is $79.
