Easton Havoc 35 Series Bars

As handlebar widths continue to grow, it seems logical that they’d benefit from getting fatter in the middle to better handle the forces that the added leverage creates. With this in mind, Easton introduced their Havoc 35 series bars. Where most handlebars use a 31.8mm clamp area, the Havoc 35 measures … wait for it … 35mm. This allows downhillers and other gravity-oriented riders to run them at a full 800mm wide with no compromise in strength or stiffness. The cold-worked alloy bars feature a 20mm rise with a 5/9degree up/back sweep and sell for around $130. Easton also offers a $250 carbon version that takes the weight down to 225g (the alloy bars are 300g). Of course a 35mm diameter bar needs a matching stem. The CNC machined alloy Havoc 35 stem comes in a 50mm length and sells for $150.
